​​​​Tiffany Mason was born and raised in tropical Hilo, Hawaii, under musical parents, Armando and Lisa Mendoza. Her mother taught her "chopsticks" and "heart and soul" at a very young age, which Tiffany still recalls to this day. Her father, Armando, is a trumpetist and conductor, whose talents lead him all around the world. Tiffany receives her inspiration from her father, a passionate musician and educator.​​​​


At age 5, she learned "Puff the Magic Dragon", and has always enjoyed visiting her grandmother's house to piddle around on her Aunt's upright Baldwin piano.
At age 12, she started taking piano lessons from her Aunt Gloria at her downtown piano studio in the heart of Hilo. She started in Alfred's Prep Course Level A and quickly progressed to Faber's Piano Adventures Level 1. Within a few months of starting, she played her first duet with her Aunt called "Bring a torch O Jeanette Isabella" on stage at the Hilo Palace Theater in downtown Hilo.

She's won numerous Piano Guild awards including Superior Plus ratings and the Top-Talent Circle Rating. In only her third year of lessons, while a sophomore in high school, she auditioned for a concerto competition in Honolulu, HI. She went onto receive an award for the Hamakua Music Festival in Hamakua, HI.

She received acceptance and a grant to attend Lawrence Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI. She studied under the direction of Dr. Dmitri Novgorodsky and Ms. Mary Van De Loo. By late 2006, she began to take a pedagogical track and started teaching private lessons at the Lawrence Academy of Music. In the spring of 2007, she participated in ArtsBridge, a music educational conference for elementary students. In the summer of 2007, she led group piano classes and activities for the Piano Odyssey camp. She has also accompanied various instrumental and vocal students for Solo & Ensemble competitions.

She continued her pedagogical track by attending the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, with concentrations in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, under the guidance of Dr. Jane Magrath and Dr. Edward Gates. She received a full Graduate Assistantship in both teaching and accompanying. During those 2 years, she has instructed several music major and non-music major group piano courses and has taught private lessons as well. She has accompanied numerous instrumental and vocal lessons, juries and recitals. She has also performed for functions at President Boren's house on multiple occasions. She received her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in May 2010.

She has participated and led worship at Christ for the Nations Institute while seeking an Advanced Diploma in Worship and Technical Arts in the fall of 2010. Tiffany's original composition Unchanging Love is recorded on CFNI's 2010 SOWTA CD, titled "With Open Hands". She has accompanied many vocalists at CFNI, and taught private and group piano lessons at the Master's Touch School of Music in Grapevine, TX. She played the orchestral score for the Saint Saens Piano Conerto #2, along with other works, for the "Romantic Evening" concert with highly acclaimed pianist Avguste Antonov.

Tiffany is currently an Early Childhood teacher through the Early Childhood Ministries at OKC Faith Church in Oklahoma City. She also plays the synthesizer keyboard with the worship band regularly on Sundays at 11a. She lives with her husband of 1 year, Derek, and 1 year old puppy, Sweetie, in Yukon, OK.
